It depends on the item. If an item is handmade to order it will take a little while longer, but if we keep it in stock we can usually get it out to you within 48 hours. If you do need an item urgently please remember to choose a fast shipping option.

Of course – and it comes with a free pack and instructions on measuring yourself accurately. We do charge for these swatch packs, but when you've decided on your fabric and placed your order for the item we will refund you the cost of the swatch pack. You can see our swatches here.
They do not. We've found that 24" tends to be a perfect length for a lot of our customers so have stuck to it. If it's not quite right for you feel free to hike it up a bit or drop it down a bit at the waist till you’re happy with it.
It’s easy for the Kilt Society™ Essentials kilts, they have side straps which extend around 3” - 4” more than the kilt size. So if you measure 36” around the navel (where you measure for a kilt, unlike for trousers) then you should order a 34” kilt rather than a 38”.
For jackets, if you like to be comfortable, probably go up a size. For 43” chest, we’d suggest ordering the 44”.
Our brogues are quite a wide fitting so you should be okay with your normal shoe size. They are designed to be worn with thick kilt socks so a bit of wiggle room is good.
To make pleats in a kilt, the fabric is folded over and the pattern is matched so that the design of the tartan looks the same on the back and the front of the kilt. This is done before the pleats are securely stitched at the waist. It’s important that the pleats stay firmly in place for this procedure, and so the kiltmaker sews the pleats with white basting thread and large stitches as a temporary way of holding the fabric in place.
The white thread is easy to see and the stitches are loose enough that you can remove them easily. Carefully cut one thread then pull out each stitch, one by one, cutting the thread regularly to keep it short enough to be manageable and to avoid it knotting. Never allow a knot to pass through the fabric as this would damage the cloth.
Traditionally yes, but we say do whatever makes you happy. Flashes help to prevent your hose (socks) from falling down. You can choose plain flashes to contrast with your hose, or you might want to highlight a stripe in your tartan and choose that colour for your flashes. If you choose tartan flashes, we would normally recommend that they are the same tartan as your kilt – but at the end of the day – it’s up to you!
As kilts don’t have pockets, you need somewhere to keep your valuables. This is what a sporran does for you. There are many different designs and protocols about wearing sporrans, but the function is always the same.
They fall into three main categories, day sporrans, semi-dress sporrans and full dress sporrans. These categories indicate the degree of ornamentation, the full dress sporran being the most ornate. Delivery, Orders & Returns
Yes. When you put your address in at the checkout, we will automatically calculate international shipping charges. You may be liable for import taxes/customs duty in the destination country, we don't have any way to calculate these as they're dependent on your own country.
It depends on the weight of the item, where its going and how fast you want it to get to you. The most accurate way to find this out is to head to the checkout with all of your items in the cart, put your address in and choose your shipping method. It'll show you your shipping cost before asking you to confirm your order so you have time to change your mind.
Your total delivery time is a combination of the item dispatch time and the shipping time. Our usual dispatch time for items we keep in stock is 2 days.

Bespoke pieces can take anywhere from 4-8 weeks, again check the item descriptions for more accurate estimates.

Yes. When you get to the 'payment method' screen you can choose whether you would like the billing address to be the same as the shipping address or if you would like to use a different billing address.
Could the package be too big for your letter box? For Royal Mail, please check your local delivery office. For couriers, please track it online. No tracking number? Use the live chat feature and we'll help you out.
You'll receive an email when we dispatch your order. If your chosen shipping method is a tracked service it will include your tracking number as well as a link to where you can track it. If you went for a non-tracked service, such as Airmail, we unfortunately can't provide any tracking.
Your tracking number was sent to you when Grant and Neil, our warehouse team, pack up your order ready to be collected by the postie. This means you receive your tracking number before the postie has had time to scan it into their system. Don't worry, the number is correct, check it again in a few hours and it should be active.
We also sometimes recycle tracking numbers, so don't worry if the tracking shows your order was delivered to someone else months ago, the number just needs to be scanned in at the hub.
Your credit or debit card statement will show a payment to 'Eagle & Fox' which is our parent company's name.
Please don't worry if your item is faulty - we'll exchange or refund this for you.
